sevcom never sleeps
But it does snore. This is sevcom version 5, setting the site up for a new museum role. Although it will still sell some albums it's more about making all the old data more accessable. This follows up what people seem to want.
Right now, things are not finished.
What is happening - June 2008
The idea here is to integrate the information and sales sides of the site.
- Integrate Kevin Busby's discography into the catalogue, so that older versions are listed next to the latest one and the audio stream.
- Update scanning area with OCR text from the articles and a few full size versions.
- Streamline the order process, and get everything available as a cheaper download, to make up for the dying yankee dollar.
Your dollar at work
Album sales have recently paid for a full install of Adobe Master Creative Suite CS3 and a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate. These are needed for all kinds of jobs around here from the mundane to the weirdly exciting. For example, using Outlook really helps with the volume of mail. We are almost able to afford to complete building a new quad processor computer here for video.
